doTERRA Essential Oils

Pure plant medicine, in a small glass bottle

We use doTERRA in the treatment room and stock the most-asked-about blends in the lobby. Ask any practitioner which oils suit you, peppermint for headaches, lavender for sleep, frankincense for grounding, before reaching for the shelf.

What is doTERRA?

Therapeutic-grade, ethically sourced

doTERRA is Latin for “gift of the earth.” The brand sets the industry standard for purity through its Certified Pure Tested Grade (CPTG) protocol, every batch is third-party tested for adulterants, fillers, and synthetic additives.

What sets doTERRA apart is the supply chain. Oils are sourced through Co-Impact Sourcing partnerships with farmers in the regions where each plant grows best, lavender from Bulgaria, frankincense from Somalia, peppermint from the Pacific Northwest. These partnerships pay farmers fair wages and reinvest in their communities through the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation.

As a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, The Teal Center curates a working selection in-house and helps clients identify oils that match their goals, whether that’s sleep support, immune resilience, mood regulation, or post-session recovery.

Four ways clients use them

What essential oils support

Each oil has a distinct chemical signature and a distinct effect. We’ll help you build a starter kit around the goals you actually want to address.

Sleep & relaxation

Lavender, vetiver, and the Serenity blend support evening wind-down and quality rest. Diffuse 30 minutes before bed or apply to wrists and the back of the neck.

Immune support

On Guard, melaleuca (tea tree), and oregano for seasonal resilience. On Guard is doTERRA’s flagship protective blend, cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, rosemary, and wild orange.

Mood & focus

Peppermint and rosemary for clarity and energy. Frankincense for grounded calm. Citrus blends (Wild Orange, Lemon, Citrus Bliss) for emotional uplift.

Pain & tension relief

Deep Blue (a topical blend with wintergreen, camphor, peppermint, and helichrysum), eucalyptus, and Aromatouch for muscular discomfort and post-session recovery.

How to use them

Three simple methods

Aromatically. Diffuse 4-6 drops in a cool-mist diffuser, or simply open the bottle and inhale. Aromatic use affects mood, focus, and the limbic system most quickly.

Topically. Apply a few drops to pulse points (wrists, behind the ears, the back of the neck) or to areas of focus. Most oils benefit from being “diluted” with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil, we’ll guide you on which oils need dilution and at what ratio.

Internally. Some doTERRA oils are labeled as Supplement Facts and can be taken internally in small amounts, a drop in water, a capsule for sustained release, or a few drops in cooking. Always check the label and ask us if you’re unsure.

A note on safety

Use with care

Essential oils are concentrated, one drop can equal pounds of fresh plant material. A few baseline guidelines:

Please note: Always patch-test before applying a new oil to skin. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Citrus oils are photosensitive, don’t apply to skin before sun exposure. If you’re pregnant, nursing, taking prescription medications, or treating a child, consult with us or your healthcare provider before use.
