Rates & Insurance
Massage & Bodywork
All massage modalities, Swedish, deep tissue, oncology, prenatal, MLD, and more, are charged at the same rate per session length. The price reflects time, not modality.
Five-session bundles offer savings of $40-$100 off list pricing.

Insurance
The Teal Center does not participate with any insurance company. All sessions are paid out of pocket at the time of service.
That said, here is what you can expect when you submit on your own.
We provide a medical receipt, often called a superbill, on request. It includes the practitioner’s credentials, the modality, the CPT or HCPCS code where applicable, the session length, and the amount paid. Many clients submit these to their commercial insurer for partial out-of-network reimbursement. Receipts are available for massage, acupuncture, and most other services. Community Acupuncture sessions do not generate a superbill.
We accept HSA and FSA debit cards directly for services your plan considers eligible. Eligibility is determined by your plan administrator, not by us. If your plan administrator requests a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from a physician, we are happy to coordinate, ask the front desk for a Letter of Medical Necessity request form to bring to your doctor.
The Teal Center is not enrolled as a Medicare provider. Medicare Part B does cover acupuncture for chronic low-back pain when delivered by Medicare-enrolled providers under a specific protocol; because we are not enrolled, Medicare will not reimburse acupuncture performed here. If Medicare is your only coverage and you’d like to be seen by an enrolled provider, ask the front desk for a referral. Medicare Advantage plans sometimes offer wellness benefits or supplemental allowances that can be used at out-of-network practices, check with your plan.
We do not bill workers’ compensation, motor-vehicle accident, or Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims directly. Clients pursuing reimbursement under those programs pay at time of service and submit superbills through their case manager.
Billing questions are best directed to our office manager: feelbetter@tealcenter.com or (703) 522-7637.
