Jasper (they/them or he/him) is a massage therapist whose work is deeply informed by their personal experience with chronic pain and trauma, as well as a commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces. They specialize in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage, and approach each session with a trauma-informed perspective rooted in listening, consent, and collaboration. Jasper is dedicated to ensuring that clients of all body types, identities, and backgrounds feel welcomed, respected, and supported in their healing. With a background in Environmental Studies and community organizing, Jasper brings a holistic understanding of how physical and emotional healing intersect. They strive to make bodywork accessible and empowering, centering care for marginalized communities and those with complex relationships to their bodies. Jane McGinn is a multifaceted professional whose background spans hypnotherapy, social work, business, and client services. Her diverse life experience—living across major U.S. cities and working in fields ranging from compliance to entrepreneurship—has shaped her into a compassionate and well-rounded practitioner. Her interest in hypnotherapy began through her own healing journey, where hypnosis and past life regression helped her overcome lifelong claustrophobia. Inspired by her personal transformation, Jane pursued certification in hypnotherapy, drawing on her academic background in Social Work and Psychology to support others in their healing. She now helps clients explore the subconscious, release limiting patterns, and access deeper levels of insight and well-being through hypnotherapy and past life regression.

Yulia (she/her) is dedicated to helping clients feel more comfortable and at ease in their bodies by combining deep tissue work, myofascial release, Swedish massage, and stretching techniques. A graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute (2013), she brings a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to pain relief and healing. Her background in psychology, along with her previous work helping children find families through international adoption, informs her compassionate and client-centered care. Inspired by her experience in movement theater and Argentine tango, Yulia has a deep appreciation for how the body moves and functions. She enjoys helping clients restore balance, reduce tension, and move with greater freedom. Noi Yingviriya is a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in oncology and Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), with over 15 years of experience. Known for her gentle and compassionate approach, she uses light, soothing touch and rhythmic techniques to guide the body into deep relaxation. Trained in both traditional and advanced Thai massage as well as contemporary therapeutic methods, Noi has also completed extensive oncology and hospital-based massage training, making her especially skilled in working with cancer patients and those with complex health considerations. Noi tailors each session to the individual, blending modalities to safely and effectively support healing, comfort, and relaxation. Her work is grounded in sensitivity and care, helping clients feel at ease throughout their experience. Outside of her practice, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, playing guitar, and spending time with her cat. Stephanie is a Licensed Massage Therapist with a strong clinical foundation in anatomy, physiology, and the treatment of complex musculoskeletal conditions. She specializes in working with chronic pain, recurring tension, and fatigue, recognizing that discomfort is often connected not only to structure but also to the nervous system, stress, and lived experience. Her approach focuses on creating a safe, collaborative space where the body can release tension, improve mobility, and support long-term healing rather than just temporary relief. Drawing from her own experience as a runner, Stephanie brings empathy and insight into the physical demands placed on the body. Her sessions combine therapeutic precision with a calm, attentive presence, helping clients move out of cycles of flare-ups and into a more balanced, resilient state. Rebecca has been a dedicated massage therapist since completing her training at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2004, where she gained experience in graduate, professional, and breast cancer clinics. She joined The Teal Center in 2008 and has since expanded her expertise through advanced training in oncology massage, manual lymph drainage, and strain counterstrain. She is also certified in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, supporting clients through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum care. Rebecca brings a thoughtful, skilled approach to each session, helping clients find relief from tension, support healing, and restore balance. Her work is both therapeutic and nurturing, tailored to meet individual needs. She typically sees clients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays (schedule subject to change).

Nevin Turk is a Virginia Board of Medicine and nationally certified licensed acupuncturist who brings a deeply integrative approach to healing. She earned her Master of Acupuncture from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and draws from her own experience using acupuncture to navigate a high-stress corporate career. Her work focuses on stress management, general wellness, pain relief, fertility support, and cosmetic acupuncture, helping clients improve energy, sleep, emotional balance, and overall vitality. In addition to acupuncture, Nevin integrates a wide range of mind-body practices into her work, including yoga, qigong, mindfulness meditation, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-based coaching. With a compassionate and holistic perspective, she supports clients in achieving both physical and emotional well-being. Nevin sees patients in the Community Acupuncture Clinic and privately on Wednesday afternoons, Fridays, and Saturday afternoons (schedule subject to change).

Mary Maruca began her bodywork journey while working in natural science writing and editing, discovering that hands-on healing grounded her more deeply and strengthened her connection to natural systems—both human and environmental. She graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2009 and became a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist in 2011. Her work is guided by a commitment to supporting balance and freedom within the body, mind, and spirit. A lifelong learner, Mary continues to expand her skills and now incorporates Energy Kinesiology to support whole-body healing on physical, emotional, and energetic levels. Known for her calm, compassionate presence, she creates a nurturing space where clients can experience deep relaxation and healing. Madison is a Licensed Massage Therapist dedicated to creating a calm, safe, and restorative space where each client feels supported and at ease. She approaches every session with empathy, clear communication, and an understanding that each body and experience is unique. Rather than focusing on “fixing” pain, Madison aims to provide intentional relief while supporting the body’s natural ability to heal, recognizing that tension can be both physical and emotional. Driven by both personal experience and a passion for the therapeutic benefits of massage, Madison continually refines her skills to better serve her clients. Lucille A. Eddy, CMT, has been part of The Teal Center since 2007 and brings years of experience as both a massage therapist and Clinical Supervisor. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, she graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute and has since worked with a wide range of clients, utilizing advanced training in Manual Lymph Drainage, Oncology Massage, and Energy Kinesiology. She is dedicated to ongoing learning and regularly collaborates with healthcare professionals to enhance her skills and provide effective, up-to-date care. Lucille approaches each session as a partnership, combining her expertise with her clients’ goals to support healing, reduce stress, and restore balance. She maintains active membership in professional organizations such as S4OM, NCBTMB, and AMTA, reflecting her commitment to excellence in her field. Outside of her practice, she enjoys volunteering at the Military Women’s Memorial, playing golf, and spending time with her dog. Kim is passionate about helping clients reconnect with their body, mind, and spirit’s natural capacity for healing. Her integrative approach combines therapeutic massage, manual lymphatic drainage, functional lab testing, and personalized health coaching to uncover imbalances and restore vitality. Her own health journey—overcoming fatigue, pain, autoimmune challenges, and more—led her to explore a wide range of healing modalities, shaping her belief that true wellness requires a holistic, individualized path. A graduate of the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Program and the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage, Kim is also certified in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT). She brings a calming, intuitive presence to her work, influenced by practices such as energy healing, Lomi Lomi bodywork, and meditation. Kim offers both in-person bodywork and virtual coaching sessions, creating a supportive space for clients to heal, rebalance, and feel their best (schedule subject to change).

Kathie Guhl has been a pioneering practitioner of Energy Kinesiology since 1988, inspired by her own healing journey and a deep belief in the body’s natural ability to restore balance. As co-founder of The BrainWave Organization and a former facilitator for Three In One Concepts, she has contributed extensively to the field through clinical work, education, and leadership roles. Her experience includes trauma-focused work at The Richstone Center and international collaboration in Australia developing techniques to support learning challenges such as dyslexia. Kathie creates a safe, intuitive space where she helps clients identify and release energetic blocks, supporting improvements in emotional balance, learning, and overall wellbeing. A respected educator and author of over 20 workshops, she continues to teach and learn globally while maintaining her practice in Northern Virginia. She typically sees clients Sundays through Wednesdays (schedule subject to change), though she is currently on leave, with sessions available through other practitioners in her absence.

Joanne (she/her) tailors each massage using a blend of Swedish and deep tissue techniques, adapting pressure and approach to meet each client’s needs. A graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute (2011), she values both gentle, subtle work and more focused, deep pressure when appropriate. She is also certified in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, has training in oncology massage, and recently completed health and wellness coaching certification through Vanderbilt University. After years balancing massage therapy with a career as a grant manager and teaching at PMTI, Joanne now dedicates herself fully to helping clients feel better and more at ease in their bodies. Her approach is thoughtful, intuitive, and client-centered. Outside of her practice, she is a rower, former runner, and dog lover who fosters animals with her husband. She sees clients Wednesdays and Thursdays (2–8 pm), Fridays (9 am–2 pm), and some Sundays (2–8 pm).

Jennifer Finnegan brings a lifelong passion for global wellness to The Teal Center, with a background that includes teaching environmental science, leading an award-winning school gardening program, and supporting over 300 births as a doula in the DMV area. Her journey into massage therapy began as a way to support healthy labor and delivery, and quickly evolved into a path for both personal healing and helping others find relief from pain and tension. She trained at the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage and specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Myofascial techniques, with a special focus on prenatal care. Jen is also certified in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), bringing a holistic and systems-based perspective to her work. She approaches each session with the intention of creating a calming space where clients can release stress and reconnect with a sense of ease and well-being. Outside of her practice, she enjoys paddling, camping, puzzles, and spending time with her children and friends. Deanna’s approach, rooted in “healing towards collective liberation,” focuses on addressing the physical and emotional impacts of living within stressful and oppressive systems. Through a blend of deep tissue and Swedish massage, along with myofascial release and biodynamic craniosacral therapy, she works to relieve stored tension, reduce pain, and support the body’s natural ability to heal. Her work is deeply intentional and tailored to each client’s unique needs. After a long career in graphic design, Deanna was called to the healing arts following the profound experience of being present with both of her parents at the end of their lives. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in DC and VA, a graduate of the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage, and continues advanced training in biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Deanna sees clients Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 2–8 pm.

Crystal (she/her) is a dedicated healer whose work is rooted in helping others reconnect with their innate health and wholeness through awareness, compassion, and acceptance. She is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Usui Reiki Master, meditation guide, and ordained minister. Her journey into healing began during her time as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. State Department, where working with refugee communities deepened her desire to support emotional and physical well-being. After returning to Washington, D.C., she trained at the Potomac Massage Training Institute and transitioned fully into healing work in 2012. Crystal offers a deeply intuitive and integrative approach, drawing from modalities such as craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, Reiki, and spiritual counseling. Her sessions are designed to support nervous system regulation, release tension, and foster holistic healing. She typically sees clients Sunday through Tuesday (schedule subject to change) and provides guidance for specific treatments like Myofascial Release to ensure the most effective experience.

Cathy has been part of The Teal Center since 2004, beginning as a massage therapist specializing in neuromuscular therapy and dynamic movement, and now practicing as a licensed acupuncturist. Inspired by her own experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), she earned her Master of Acupuncture from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine. Her training includes multiple styles of acupuncture as well as techniques such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion, with advanced specialties in oncology acupuncture, orthopedic acupuncture, and dry needling. With over 20 years of experience in bodywork, Cathy works with a wide range of clients—from athletes to those managing chronic conditions—offering compassionate, personalized care that supports the connection between body, mind, and spirit. Each treatment is tailored to address both specific concerns and overall well-being, helping restore balance and promote healing. She is currently accepting new acupuncture patients and typically sees clients Tuesday through Friday (schedule subject to change).

Angela is a Two Curricula graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage, where she studied both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Asian Bodywork Therapy and Western Massage. She also served as a Student Proctor Supervisor at the school’s clinic, guiding students in body mechanics, professional ethics, and wellness. With over 17 years of experience, Angela specializes in post-surgical recovery, scar tissue management, inflammation reduction, and chronic pain related to posture and daily activities, using an integrated approach to bodywork. Her work incorporates a wide range of modalities, including Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Five Element Acupressure, and TCM Cupping, along with additional training in Shiatsu, Oncology Massage, Postnatal Massage, and Qi Breathwork. Angela is passionate about helping clients restore balance and well-being, with a focus on long-term healing. Initial sessions may include an extended health history and intake to ensure personalized care.

Andrea (she/her) personalizes each session using a blend of Swedish and deep tissue techniques, offering a range of pressure from light to deep based on each client’s needs. She trained at the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage, where she developed skills in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, Trigger Point Release, and Sports Massage. Certified in both Sports and Medical Massage, Andrea continues to expand her expertise through ongoing training in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy. Her goal is to tailor every massage to provide maximum benefit, whether addressing pain, tension, or overall relaxation. Outside of her practice, Andrea enjoys hiking and traveling both within the United States and internationally. She typically sees clients on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays in the morning through early afternoon, and Saturdays in the afternoon and evening (schedule subject to change).

Dr. Amanda Nguyen is a Naturopathic Doctor and licensed acupuncturist who blends ancient healing practices with modern medical science to provide patient-centered care. She earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Sonoran University of Health Sciences, along with a Doctorate in Acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture. Board-certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture, she focuses on treating root causes rather than symptoms, with special interests in women’s health, pain management, mental health, and stroke recovery. A Virginia native, Dr. Nguyen is passionate about empowering patients to support their body’s natural healing through sustainable lifestyle changes. Her training includes acupuncture as well as gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, and tui na bodywork—modalities that have also personally impacted her own health journey. She currently sees patients both privately and in the Community Acupuncture Clinic on Mondays and Tuesdays, and is dedicated to making holistic, high-quality care more accessible to her community.

Allison (she/her) has returned to The Teal Center after spending nine years in Panama, where she experienced deep healing through nature, stillness, and sacred plant medicine. With over 18 years of professional experience that began at the Teal Center, her work is rooted in lifelong connections to energy, touch, plants, and intuitive practices. She is passionate about helping individuals embrace their inner wholeness, release deep stress, and cultivate intuition, creativity, and supportive community. Her approach focuses on empowering clients to actively participate in their healing by creating space for emotional and physical release, allowing greater joy and balance to emerge. Allison is trained in massage therapy (Potomac Massage Training Institute), holds a BS in Alternative Medicine, and has studied yoga with Sri Dharma Mittra. Her diverse background includes energy work, herbalism, health coaching, and birth work. She offers sessions, classes, and workshops, and hosts a monthly women’s circle at The Teal Center.
