Booking and scheduling
Our practitioners book independently, and online availability is updated in real time. If you don’t see a time that works, please call the front desk, we may be able to add you to a waitlist or suggest a different practitioner with similar training.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are charged 50% of the session fee. No-shows are charged the full session rate.
If Arlington Public Schools close due to weather, we may close as well. We’ll reach out to affected clients directly. Cancellations due to weather are never charged.
We’re appointment-based to give every client an unhurried experience. Walk-ins are welcome to browse the lobby, ask questions, or pick up a gift card, but sessions require booking ahead.
Rates and insurance
Massage and bodywork sessions range from 30 minutes at $78 through 2 hours at $280, charged by length not modality. Acupuncture is $213 initial / $150 follow-up. Other services run $35-$400 depending on length and type.

The Teal Center does not participate with any insurance company. All sessions are paid out of pocket. We provide medical receipts for client-initiated reimbursement on most services. We also accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services.
Please don’t come in if you have a fever, cough, GI symptoms, or anything actively contagious. Our 24-hour cancellation fee is waived in these cases, we’d rather reschedule than risk our practitioners or other clients.
Payment and tips
We accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, cash, and personal checks. Credit card payments incur a 5% processing fee; cash and check have no fee.
Tipping is appreciated but never expected. Practitioners receive tips directly via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle, they’ll share their handle if you ask. Cash tips are also welcome. Minimum suggested tip is $10.
Visiting The Teal Center
We’re on the second floor of Randolph Towers, 4001 9th Street North, Suite 230, Arlington, VA 22203, two blocks from the Ballston Metro (orange/silver lines).
The closest paid garage is Ballston Quarter Garage (entrance on N. Stuart Street). Limited metered street parking is also available on 9th and 10th Streets. Allow 5-10 minutes to walk over.
Come in whatever’s comfortable. For massage and bodywork you’ll undress to your comfort level under a sheet. For acupuncture, loose clothing helps but isn’t required. For energy work and coaching, just wear what you’d wear to a long meeting.
Promotions and packages
We offer packages of 5 sessions available for Massage and Bodywork, Acupuncture, and Community Acupuncture, in addition to a 6-session package for those needing more focused work towards their healing. May be purchased at the time of checkout OR visit our online store and search under Therapeutic Massage. *Non-transferrable.
